After the first successful voyage, the emperor was pleased with Zheng He's accomplishment, Zheng he has successfully opened out trade routes almost all over South East Asia on his 2nd voyage, in this voyage Zheng he visited Siam, which is the capital of Thailand 1407 – 1409 . In Siam, Zheng he notice a strange animal, an elephant, he bought the elephant back to his Emperor, and the Emperor was amazed by the outside world, therefore the Emperor asked Zheng he to continue with his seven expeditions to what the Chinese called "the Western Ocean" , soon Zheng he will discover the new world.
